Development Starts and Stops

Brexit will inevitably postpone a number of development projects across the country, as developers and funders defer significant capital expenditure until the road ahead becomes clearer. Steel and oil import pricing will be a factor in development viability. For those that have hedged construction cost risk, there may be some that look to the opportunity of structurally low supply and less competition to push ahead. For those that delay, the question is whether that delay will cross the end of the cycle.
